Annual Bridge House T10 Cricket Festival

Saturday, 10 February, marked the Annual Bridge House T10 Cricket Festival, a vibrant event where three schools joined us for a morning of exhilarating cricket. The U11 and U13 teams showcased their skills in three matches, treating spectators to stellar all-round performances. The festival was not just about cricket but also an opportunity to recognise outstanding contributions, with prizes awarded for each match’s best bowler, fielder, and batter. A heartfelt thanks to everyone who contributed to the success of this memorable day.

Bridge House vs. Summerfield School (UK)

The cricketing action continued on Friday, 9 February, as Bridge House hosted Summerfield School (UK) in a spirited match. Batting first, Bridge House faced a challenging inning, scoring 79 runs, with Savannah Wolseley-Brinton emerging as the top scorer. Despite a valiant effort in the field, Summerfield chased down the target, securing victory. Special thanks to our families who opened their homes to host the Summerfield boys for a Friday evening, contributing to the camaraderie that makes cricket more than just a game.

Bridge House vs. Beacon (UK)

On Monday, 11 February, we hosted another school from the UK, The Beacon School. The opposition batted first and only managed to score 100 runs in their 20 overs, with our players’ excellent bowling and fielding performance. Caan Theron 3/12, Savannah Wolseley Brinton 2/15 and Darius Mooken 2/22 were the pick of the bowlers. Bridge House quickly got the target, with James Boulton scoring 54*. We won by seven wickets.

Here’s to another week of cricket that embodies the true spirit of competition, camaraderie, and sportsmanship.
