EDUCATIONAL SUPPORT

At Bridge House, we focus on the holistic development of the child into a well-rounded and complete adult. In support of this ideal, the Educational Support Unit (ESU) offers all pupils access to academic, social, emotional, and behavioural support.

PREPARATORY ESU
COLLEGE ESU

Bridge House Preparatory School believes in a ‘Round Table Approach’ whereby the parents, the teacher and the ESU ( including other professional therapists where necessary) work together to ensure the best support and outcome for the child. Support lessons, where necessary, are timetabled within the child’s school programme.

The Bridge House College pupils are strongly encouraged to take responsibility for their wellbeing by requesting support themselves when necessary.

Parents, teachers, and other professionals involved in caring for pupils are also encouraged to refer pupils to the ESU when additional support is required.

The College ESU employs an Educational Psychologist and Learning Support Therapist. They are available to consult with pupils on a one-to-one basis and in small group formats, where peer support and learning are encouraged.
