Susan Huxter



Susan is one of the three founders of Bridge House School and a founding member of the Board. Her children, Justin, Simon (founder pupils) and Simpe, matriculated at Bridge House. Susan has been highly successful in raising funds for capital development programmes at the school as well as for the Bridge House Bursary Fund. Susan was the owner of the very successful businesses, Le Quartier Français (for 28 years) and Bread and Wine Restaurant (for 20 years) in Franschhoek. Susan is now CMO, Chief Motherly Officer, of Cartology Travel which she founded with her son, Justin. Susan, who has served on the Bridge House Board as a Founder, a parent and an Independent Director since the school’s inception, lives in Franschhoek and remains involved in the Franschhoek Valley. She is absolutely passionate about Bridge House and its future and feels strongly about maintaining the ethos of the school in order to serve future generations of children to come.
