Bridge House provides an ideal, caring boarding environment where students can fully engage in the school’s academic, cultural, and sports programs while making lifelong memories and friendships.
Total attendance costs are calculated by adding tuition and boarding fees, both of which are listed in the downloadable Fee Schedule.
These fees grant pupils full access to all boarding house facilities, meals, and services during the term, with no rebates provided for partial usage. Additional personal expenses, such as laundry and organised outings, are charged separately on the school accounts.
At Bridge House, all boarders are enrolled as full-time termly pupils, but we offer the flexibility for students living nearby to spend weekends at home. Whether staying on campus or venturing out, boarders enjoy a vibrant, supported, and well-organised environment both during the week and over weekends.
Weekend Visits with Friends: Boarders living further away may spend weekends visiting friends, provided notification is submitted to duty staff by Wednesday. Visits require both a written invitation from the host family and written permission from the boarder’s parents.
Transport & Shuttles: We offer convenient transport arrangements to and from Cape Town International Airport. A weekly shuttle service is also available for Cape Town-bound boarders, departing Friday afternoons and returning Sunday evenings.
Exeats & Holidays: There is one scheduled “Out Weekend” per term, though international boarders are welcome to remain on campus if needed. Boarding houses are closed during school holidays.
Weekend Timings: Pupils leaving for the weekend depart by 4:00 PM on Friday and must return between 5:00 PM and 8:00 PM on Sunday (with dinner served at 6:15 PM).
Our meals are provided by Empact and approved by a registered dietician. Various dietary requirements are catered for. The meals are served in two modern dining rooms on the campus close to the boarding houses. The meals align with our ethos at Bridge House to encourage healthy living. Empact reserves the right to change the menus if necessary, depending on what fresh produce is available.

The boarding staff are supported by the school nurse who takes care of various ailments in our Healthcare Centre. The nurse cares for both day students who are not feeling well and need to lie down until they can be collected by their parents and also for our boarders who are ill.
The Healthcare Centre has two separate two-bed wards for boarders who may need to be isolated, a procedure room where the nurse can administer first aid and a small flatlet for a resident staff member to stay overnight. A local physiotherapist comes to the school to treat students with sports or other injuries, in a separate room in the Healthcare Centre.
