Bridge House travelled to Rhenish to play a highly anticipated cricket match. Having won the toss, Bridge House chose to bat first and posted 96/9 after 20 overs. It was a perfect comeback from the middle order to boast a competitive score. Benjamin Volschenk top-scored with 13.
Rhenish came in confident, but they lost wickets at crucial times due to some tight bowling. Rhenish needed four runs off the last 12 balls and got it with seven balls remaining. Chase Cornish took one wicket for nine runs in his three overs. Jack du Plessis took one wicket for ten runs off two overs.
Rhenish won by six wickets. It was a brilliant match to be a part of. The team’s spirits remained high throughout, with batters being applauded for good shots and bowlers stepping up to the challenge to try to restrict Rhenish.
U11A welcomed Stellenbosch Primary on Monday, February 26. Stellenbosch Primary, a strong outfit, chose to bat first and posted a competitive 238 off 20 overs.
Bridge House went into bat and scored 113 all out in 19 overs. Jack du Plessis, the shining light on the scorecard, batted phenomenally and scored 45 off 39 balls.
Bridge House lost by 126 runs.
On Wednesday, 21 February, our u13 played against a very strong Eikestad Primary, who batted first and scored a massive total of 233 runs in their 25 overs. Our bowlers who bowled well were Reid Cornish, who took two wickets, and Jo du Plessis, Sam van Heerden and Siden Jansen van Rensburg, who all took one wicket. Our team never gave up, and Charlie Wells, Savannah Wosley Brinton, and James Boulton had some excellent batting performances. Well done to our team for a beautiful fighting spirit!

On Monday, 4 March, our U13 played against Stellenbosch Primary; we batted first and scored 86 runs in our 20th over, with Jams Boulton 38 runs and Aiden Jansen van Rensburg on 14 runs being our top batters on the day. Unfortunately, we came second on the day with good fielding and bowling. We lost the match in the last over. Aiden Jansen van Rensburg took three wickets and Reid Cornish, one wicket. Nice team effort!
