Round Square at Bridge House

Round Square is an organisation based on the philosophy of Kurt Hahn, founder of Gordonstoun School, Scotland, and the Outward Bound movement. He felt that the goal of schools was to prepare students for life, by facing life directly, in ways that would demand courage, generosity, imagination and persistence.

Round Square utilises the six pillars of IDEALS to guide schools:

• International understanding

• Democracy

• Environment

• Adventure

• Leadership

• Service

Bridge House was accepted as a full member of Round Square at the International Conference at Gordonstoun in 2006.
