In-line Hockey

In-line Hockey is a very popular sport for both boys and girls at Bridge House. We have a floodlit in-line hockey court and the National Championships were held at Bridge House in 2003. Our players dedication to the sport and a very committed parent body has facilitated the continuation and success of our teams. The Inline hockey teams said a sad goodbye to their teacher/coach/mentor, Marelise Best but the dedication of the players and parents helped inline hockey at Bridge House continue along its successful path. Davin du Bois coached our College teams and inspired our U/14 players to win a number of gold medals with his disciplined attitude and excellent skills. The U/14s went on tour to Swakopmund where they were awarded a silver medal. The National Championships were held in Witbank and consisted of two championships. These were the Southern African Championships which Western Province, Boland, Gauteng and Mpumalanga competed in and the Southern African Championships which included the Namibian teams. The Boland U/14 side which was made up mostly of Bridge House players were the talk of the Nationals as not only were they the smallest team but also the only unbeaten team in their age group. Congratulations, Xander du Toit, Andrew Watson, Kent Fourie and Anton Philip Kannemeyer who made the South African National U/14 side and Michael Watson who made the U/16 side. Richard Bresgi who played for the U/18 Western Province side was also selected for the South African National team.
