Hockey

This is the main winter sport at Bridge House School. Hockey has developed reasonably quickly in the school thanks to gifted coaching and many sacrifices being made by all involved. Even two years ago when there were relatively few children to choose from, Bridge House Prep managed to field one of the most competitive sides in the country, capturing the title at the annual LoveLife Games held in Durban. The U13 Boys have also been the top league team in the Boland on two occasions. They have also on two occasions produced the top Boland player of the year.

The teams mostly go on tour to Knysna where they play in interschool tournaments.

Facilities are well developed for hockey with two good grass pitches and an indoor court. Our next objective is to be able to accommodate an Astroturf surface.
