Prep Exchanges

Exchanges

The Learning for Life Leadership Award does make allowances for exchanges to take place in special circumstances. This is important in that it creates a real opportunity for a child to take on the role of ambassador and representative of our school. It will always be linked to a specific learning experience and should result in the personal growth of the pupil involved.

Keldohn visits Aldro School in the UK ? In 2004 our first international exchange took place. Keldohn Swanepoel made an incredibly positive impression during his stay at this impressive school which was founded in 1898 in Eastbourne.

Lindsay Clive visits St Andrews in Grahamstown ? Lindsay Clive spent time at this prestigious and well known South African school. He was able to return with an informative Powerpoint? presentation to teach others about the differences and similarities of the two schools.

Meike and Lauren visit Groendal - Also in 2004, these two girls decided to experience schooling which is close to home but so very different. Groendal was very welcoming of the two who both found this incredible experience to be a life changing one. Attitudes and pre conceived ideas were challenged and again the rest of the school benefited by the informative and positively charged report back which was delivered in assembly.
