Wider Classroom - Prep Camps and Outings

During the year, all classes go on outings in order to broaden the learning experience. These are often linked to overnight camps so as to make more economical use of transport and time. The overnight camps allow children the opportunity to experience time away from home in new surroundings. At these camps the activities are designed to be age appropriate for the pupils and are not only enjoyable but also provide challenges at both a personal and group level.
For example, in Grade 5 one of the camps is aimed at group challenges, while in Grade 6 the children engage in abseiling and hiking in order to push their personal boundaries. In Grade 7, the first camp is focused on Leadership while the second camp deals more with the environment and the history of the area. By the time the children exit the prep they have been exposed to a wide variety of activities and experiences.
