The Library

The Bridge House library is a welcoming place for exploration and discovery for all students from Grade 00 to 12.  Our aim is to nurture a continuous love or reading as well as the development of sound Information Research Skills.

Weekly library lessons expose the Pre-Prep and Junior Primary children to quality literature, taking them on a journey into the worlds of others.  Senior Primary children learn how and where to access information within the realm of books and how to link this with information found electronically.  College English lessons allow the older student to begin focussing on books of Literary Merit, while still enjoying a popular read.

In addition to the more than 15 000 fiction and non-fiction books, the library resources include a large audio visual selection (CDs and DVDs), as well as magazines and daily newspapers, computers and a photocopier/printer.

The library is open throughout the day from 07:40 to 16:30 from Monday to Thursday and from 07:40 to 14:30on a Friday.
