The Library
The Bridge House library is a welcoming place for exploration and discovery for all students from Grade 00 to 12. Â Our aim is to nurture a continuous love or reading as well as the development of sound Information Research Skills.
Weekly library lessons expose the Pre-Prep and Junior Primary children to quality literature, taking them on a journey into the worlds of others. Â Senior Primary children learn how and where to access information within the realm of books and how to link this with information found electronically. Â College English lessons allow the older student to begin focussing on books of Literary Merit, while still enjoying a popular read.
In addition to the more than 15 000 fiction and non-fiction books, the library resources include a large audio visual selection (CDs and DVDs), as well as magazines and daily newspapers, computers and a photocopier/printer.
The library is open throughout the day from 07:40 to 16:30 from Monday to Thursday and from 07:40 to 14:30on a Friday.
We welcome and encourage our parents to join our library. Further information can be found on the Intranet.
