Physical Science

Science is a subject evolved from our curiosity to understand and manipulate our universe. It is a subject which challenges us to solve problems. Solving problems allows us to experience success, failure, joy and pain. Problems create our courage and our wisdom. Problems stimulate our mental and spiritual growth.

A scientific background is a huge advantage for sensible decision making at home and at work. The skills learnt in Science will give you the ability to read and understand the world around you, enabling you to make good decisions.

The new skills based syllabus leads school Science into a more integrated approach. This encourages awareness of the problems facing our planet and has evolved Science into a dynamic relevant subject.

Science is a pre-requisite for many degrees, and even if Science is not a direct requirement, possession of Matric Science will often be in your favour, because Science displays an ability to think. If you enjoy Mathematics, have achieved well and are undecided about your future career, choose Science as a subject for Grade 10.
